Register at a Parish
All families must register at a Catholic parish in New York. If you do not have a parish and need assistance with finding one, please contact us.
Two-Year Sacramental Preparation Commitment
As per Archdiocesan guidelines, sacramental preparation is a two-year commitment. If you are registering your child for the first time, you must provide the Adeo office with a copy of the child’s Baptismal certificate. Additional instructions and information pertaining to the reception of each sacrament will be provided.
First Communion: Preparation for First Communion begins in first grade, with the sacraments of First Penance and First Communion received in second grade. Students who enter Adeo’s program without previous catechesis education must complete two years of preparation regardless of age.
Confirmation: Preparation for Confirmation begins in sixth grade, with the sacraments of Penance and Confirmation received in the seventh grade. Students being confirmed must complete ten hours of community service and attend the Confirmation retreat provided by Adeo. Older students who wish to be confirmed but have not received Baptism, First Penance, or Communion, should speak with the Adeo office to make plans for the reception of these sacraments.
Mandatory Parent Meetings: There are mandatory parent meetings connected with each sacrament. Please check for these dates on the Adeo Calendar.
The maximum number of students per class is six, and students may not be added without permission of the Adeo office.
